1. Data collection on

Personal data is only collected on this site to the extent necessary to process the respective offer. If further data is collected, this is marked as optional. In no circum­stances will the data be sold or otherwise marketed. We only collect personal data in the context of contact and service requests.

In addition, we automat­i­cally collect infor­mation in our server log files that your browser sends us. This consists of:

  • Operating system used
  • Referrer’s URL (the previ­ously visited page)
  • Host name of the accessing computer (IP address)
  • Time of the server inquiry

No personal data is stored. None of this data is combined with other data sources. After the completion of each visit to www.tchibo your IP address is promptly deleted.

2. Use of your data

When we process your data, your legit­imate interests are always considered in accor­dance with statutory provi­sions. Therefore your data is only used for the purpose for which it was collected and not for any promo­tional use.

Contact and service requests

The contact form is intended as a simple way to contact us for all questions about the topic of sustain­ability in connection with Tchibo. Your details here are essen­tially voluntary. In order to answer your request it may be necessary to forward them to our subsidiaries or maxingvest ag together with your personal data.

Opinion poll

You can also use a form to give us your opinion about the Tchibo website No personal data is collected on this form, and Tchibo cannot identify you as an individual.

If you wish to remain completely anonymous, please protect your own privacy by not disclosing, in the free text field of the form, any infor­mation that could be traced back to you personally.

3. Disclosure of data

We do not share your infor­mation with companies outside of the Tchibo Group. Service providers only have access to this data as part of looking after and maintaining our systems. They have been carefully selected by us and are required to treat your data confi­den­tially in accor­dance with statutory provi­sions as they perform the contracted data processing work, and also to comply with our own privacy standards.

4. Cookies

Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer and saved by your browser. Cookies enable our systems to recognise your browser and enable us to adapt our internet service to best suit your needs.

5. Use of social plug-ins

On our pages, we use functions for the Facebook and Twitter networks. When you opt to share posts or articles with other users via one of these two options, Tchibo does not share any infor­mation about the user with the respective network. Only the URL is disclosed, along with text describing the page that the user would like to share. Not until the user has clicked the respective field (‘f’ for Facebook, ‘t’ for Twitter) and is rerouted is a check made in a new window on the respective page, to see if the user is logged in. If the user is not logged in, they are prompted to do so or to register. Only then will this infor­mation be linked to your own profile and become visible to third parties.

6. Autho­ri­sation, modifi­cation and deletion of personal data / Disclosure rights

Your trust is important to us. Therefore, we will gladly answer your questions regarding the processing of your personal data. You have the right to receive infor­mation, at all times, about your personal data stored with us, its source and recip­ients and the reason it is stored.
